The World Of Hunting Hobbyists by James Brown
Learning the basics of safe hunting is not all that there is to it. A hunter must develop some responsibilities that come with participating in the sport. While unwritten rules make an ethical hunter, a profound understanding of sporting codes, wildlife management and game laws are as significant as handling hunting ammunitions and weapons safely.
Professional hunting groups teach and expect their members to adhere to all safety rules. Hunting hobbyists do their best to obtain hunting and marksmanship skills that assure clean sportsmanship. Hunters are also proud supporters of wildlife conservation efforts; this support in turn ensures good hunting for generations to come.
During camping, hunters are expected to keep their campsites neat and inoffensive. It is unethical to openly display their kill in their vehicle or during camp.
To a certain extent, experienced hunters know very well not to rely on their weapon's safety. To ensure paramount safety, hunters should treat all hunting guns and weapons as if they were fully loaded or ready to fire. They are expected to never climb trees, stand or jump in ditches or cross fences while carrying a loaded gun. They are neither allowed to winch a loaded gun to a stand nor to load and then carry loaded weapon until these are for actual use. Before hopping to vehicles, weapons should at all times be unloaded.
The skilled hunters always watch their muzzle so that other fellows don't have to. They are instructed to wear hunting gears in bright colors, specifically orange, so they can be clearly seen, even from afar. The gear is completed by a hat in blaze orange. According to rules, a hunter orange should be worn at around 400 square inches above the body's waistline during all deer hunting seasons. During the stand, these should be worn by a hunter at all times and never taken off even once.
Hunters are tasked to keep separately their ammunitions and guns in storage that are locked. They are directed never to shoot unless they are absolutely certain of their targets. It is also protocol for these hunters to know their weapon's range, because even a .22 rimfire of a gun can travel to over two and a half miles. Eye and ear protections are a must when hunters are on the field, shooting.
Gun action and barrels should at all times be clear of obstructions. Hunters are expected to know this by heart. Hunting gurus are also strictly asked to carry ammunition that is only intended for the hunting weapon that they are currently using. Hunters are also observed to be always carrying handguns in which their hammers are down on an unfilled chamber.
During hunting camps, hunters are assigned to buddies whom they inform on which part of the area they intend to hunt and when they are expected to return. Hunters are expected to promptly notify in case plans on an area of target changes at any given time.
Other basic rules include dressing appropriately for the weather, taking maps and compass so as not to lose track of the area, and being vigilant for other possible sources of threat. Just like any outdoor hobbyists, hunters are expected to carry flashlights with them during their walks through and throughout the hunting area.
The hunting hobby aims to inculcate, especially to the youngsters, the expertise vital to becoming a true outdoor lover. There can be no better way to enjoy this pastime that has existed for decades!

Painting
Painting By Numbers by Kenneth Scott
Many of us have at some time or the other satiated our artistic desires by coloring using the 'paint with numbers' concept. We have fond remembrances of the time spent filling up various shapes with colors. All we needed to know was the color that corresponded to a particular number and following that code we could conjure up beautiful paintings that would befit a professional artist.
As kids these paintings were available in most shops and came with a small packet of required colors. One knew the end result that one needed to get by looking at the completed picture on the box. Variations of this bundle of entertainment arrived and kids were required to just dip their brushes in plain water and run them over the page to get the desired effect of a jungle, an animal or a portrait The amazement for this magic, however, lasts for a few months before the kids grow out of it.
This concept goes a long way to the 1950's when it was not considered only child's play but was taken more seriously. People enrolled in classes to learn the art of painting by numbers and it was considered a hobby in itself. Many people redid famous paintings that had complicated set of numbers and professionally framed these pieces of art for everyone to see.
Since these pictures were so popular, many people used to earn their living by creating these number paintings. It obviously must have been a very interesting and fun filled way of making profit. It was also a good past time for those who did not have any artistic prowess but wanted to create something of their own.
Due to the training ground that these number pictures provided some of these creators moved on to become full artists in their own rights and others continued to provide people the ability to adorn their homes with personally created paintings. Paintings such as these give you the reassurance that the masterpiece that you are trying to replicate will look considerably similar to the original and not turn into a nightmare.
A negative of these number paintings was the fact that these did not allow for creativity to flow. One was restricted to painting between the lines and following a certain color code. But creative dudes changed that too by not following the codes to the 't' and putting in their individual stamp.
It is surprising that in spite of being so simplistic in nature it became a rage!

Collecting Coins
Collecting Coins With Your Kids - An Investment With Big Returns by Ryan Konecky
I remember being 10 years old and standing in my dad's den. We had saved up a little in a mutual fund for my brother and I. He asked if we wanted to keep the money in a mutual fund, or use it to invest in some coins. Being 10 years old, I didn't have to think very long. I couldn't really hold the mutual fund in my hands and admire it like I could a coin. I'm sure that my younger brother felt the same way I did. The decision was unanimous: We would begin collecting coins.
That decision turned out to be one of the best investments that either of us made. Through whatever process a 10 year-old goes through to make decisions like this, I chose to collect Franklin half dollars. I think that I had some admiration for Ben Franklin from studying him in school. The coin also had some asthetic appeal to me.
Not long after that decision was made, I got a paper route so that I could earn some extra money to pay for some of these coins. I wish I could say that I saved all of the money that I got from my paper route to feed by coin-collecting habit. A lot of money was also spent on candy and other things that a kid with money will buy. I did manage to buy quite a few Franklin half dollars to add to my collection, though. I would sit at my dad's desk in the den and go through my coin catalog to choose a specific coin that I wanted. I'd then save the money to buy it and start the process all over again. This taught me the value of a dollar and the value in setting goals.
I spent some time reading about the history of each coin that I collected. I was interested in what the designs signified and what made the rarest coins so... well, rare. It seemed incredible to hold something in my hand that was so old and had seen so much history. I often wondered who all of the people were that held that very coin in their hands. What had they spent it on? Where were they now? I learned that history actually had an impact on me and wasn't just something I read about at school.
My dad, my brother and I spent a lot of time going to coin shows, searching through catalogs, and just reading about different coins. We began looking at the change that we had in our pockets and showing each other our "finds". We spent a lot of time talking about the coins in our collection and their history.
I still have that set of Franklin half dollars as well as some of the other coins that I had collected. I'm still adding to them. I know that they've gone up in value a bit over the years, but sometimes I find myself wondering if I would have made more money if I would have stuck with the mutual fund. Then I think of all of the lessons that I learned. Lessons about money and history. Then I think of all that time I spent with my dad and my brother. All of those days spent in my dad's den talking. The Sunday afternoons driving to the nearest coin show and all of the time spent together just talking. It's then that I realize just how big the returns were from our coin collecting.

Ceramic Materials
Ceramic Materials And Their Uses by Victor Epand
The word Ceramics is derived from the Greek word Keramos which means potter's earth or clay. Therefore, ceramics may be considered to be material made from naturally occurring clay or earth. Scientifically, ceramics are compounds of metallic and non-metallic elements. There are also manufactured ceramic materials such as diamond, SiC and Si3N4 and so on. In modern applications, a broader definition applies to the term ceramic, that is everything that is not a metal or organic material. Ceramics are inorganic as well as non-metallic materials which have been processed or used at high temperatures. The American Ceramic society has defined ceramic products as those manufactured "by the action of heat on raw materials, most of which are of an earthy nature -- while of the constituents of these raw materials, the chemical element silicon, together with its oxide and the compounds thereof, occupies a predominant position." That branch of knowledge which deals with the expertise of manufacturing and treatment of ceramic materials is called ceramic engineering.
There are various types of ceramic products which we have classed under four distinct categories-
1. Structural - it includes roof and floor tiles, pipes and bricks.
2. White wares - they include objects like decorative, sanitary ware, table ware and wall tiles. The examples of white ware ceramics are stone ware, porcelain, bone china and earthen ware.
3. Refractories like glass and steel building crucibles, gas fire radiant and kiln linings.
4. Technical or fine ceramics. such products include tiles applied in the space shuttle program, ballistic fortification, bio-medical implants, missile nose cones, nuclear fuel uranium oxide pellets and jet engine turbine.
The various properties of ceramics are discussed below-
1. MECHANICAL PROPERTIES- they are crystalline or amorphous and are usually covalently bonded or iconic substances. Ceramic materials also show plastic deformations.
2. ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES- they are semi conductors and most of them are transitional metal oxides. However under extremely low temperatures some ceramics become superconductors.
CLASSIFICATION OF CERAMICS-
They are classified as non -crystalline and crystalline ceramics. The non-crystalline ceramics are formed from melts and are called glass ceramic. They are produced after a great range of processing whereas the crystalline ceramics do not require much doling out.
Apart from the ones discussed above, ceramics have a wide range of usage
1. It is used in making knives and ceramic knives are sharper than steel knives. Though they are brittle, their blades are more durable.
2. Ceramics like alumina and boron carbide are used as "Small Arms Protective Inserts"
3. Steel can be replaced by ceramic balls in ball bearings. Due to their hardness they have a longer lifetime. Their electrical insulating capacities are also valuable in bearings but a major drawback is their high cost.
4. Ceramic engines can be used in laboratories due to their high fuel efficiency and they do not need any cooling system. However mass production is not possible because cracks can easily develop in ceramics which may result in dangerous equipment failure.
5. Nowadays bio-ceramics are made which include synthetic bones and dental implants.
6. High tech ceramic is also employed in making watch cases.

Collectibles
Collectibles: An Introduction To A Lifelong Hobby by Daniel Wright
We all have our own, personal hobbies. As youngsters, we may collect stamps, or badges. Some people dedicate their lives to the collection of autographs or belongings of the rich and famous, whilst others collect vintage automobiles. What you decide to collect is up to you, but you definitely have the passion to collect something.
The lure of philately or other pastimes which involving amassing certain things is rarely related simply to their cost. A collector of any specific sort of thing puts a great deal of time and effort into the pursuit of his items, and truly takes enormous joy from it. It is ridiculous for anyone to assume that the wealthy alone have earned the right to be collectors.
Collecting rare objects, such as antique jewelry, is more difficult than it sounds. Collectors of such objects need to dedicate hours, searching through many jewelry stores, auction houses, and online vendors, in order to locate rare objects such as old diamonds or ruby rings.
It is difficult to express verbally about the happiness of a collector when he discovers a specific collectible after a long search. A collection can consist of numerous things such as exotic paintings, antique jewelry, coins relating to ancient period of time, famous sculptures and several other items.
Coca Cola Cans are great collectibles, as are other Coke items. Coca-Cola has been in business for many many years and is a popular beverage worldwide. Numerous people around the globe have enjoyed the company's beverages and they have become quite a collectible item. There are many Coke items such as old advertising, glasses, Christmas items, etc. that are worth collecting.
There are just as many people who love collecting Coca Cola cans as there are people who are fans of collectibles like Pepsi cans, and Pepsi hawking equipment. Other things that you could consider to be collectibles would be televisions, cigarette cases, cigar boxes, vintage coffee makers, vintage motorcycles, and gramophone records.

You might even be tempted to say that Direct TV built its business on the back on the NFL, and you wouldn't be off base (so to speak). Because it's exclusive to Direct TV, NFL Sunday Ticket regularly accounts for a large chunk of people who sign up for the service. I've had it for a couple years and have to admit it's great. But if football isn't your thing, what else is there?
Plenty. Is basketball your game? Then sign up for the NBA League Pass, which shows all of your favorite NBA teams in action. This is a great package for displaced fans, as is MLB Extra Innings, the equivalent of NFL Sunday Ticket but for baseball fanatics. Still not satisfied? Then check this out -- NASCAR lovers too can enjoy non stop action with the NASCAR Hotpass. There's also ESPN Game Plan, which is great if you're a fan of many sports, but not diehard enough about any one in particular to pay for the dedicated packages.
Speaking of a budget, if yours won't allow ordering any of these extra special program offerings, don't fret, the Direct TV regular sports channels still provide hundreds of hours of sporting coverage each and every week. Plus, those who enjoy more obscure and international sports can tune into a variety of sports specialties on Direct TV such as Cricket, European Soccer (obscure only to those of us here in America), horse racing, bowling, tennis and much, much more.
With programming prices starting at around $20 a month (with the most popular premium programming about $50-$65 per month), and running as much as $100 or so a month for a full load sports programming and specialty channels, there's pretty much a level that just about anyone can afford. But hey, if you want to spend a couple hundred bucks, Direct TV isn't going to turn you away. I'm sure you could find a bunch of pay-per-view movies and events to get you up to that level if you're so inclined.
Finally, I wanted to fill you in on an extra special feature found only on Direct TV: the Interactive Mix, which allows you to watch eight (yes, I said eight) separate sporting events at a time on a split screen! Now, what could be better than that? And that's a feature offered with the most basic $20 a month programming plan! Pretty cool, huh?
Now, I should point out that Dish Network also has a ton of sports programming as well, as do most digital cable packages. But both of those options lack some of the true out-of-market programming such as Sunday Ticket and Extra Innings. So, from one sports to another, I hope that helps you make a decision.

Satellite Tv to Pc
Satellite Tv to Pc by Kelly Crawford
It's 2am, and as usual I can't sleep. There's never anything on TV at this time of the night and I've watched all my DVD's a billion times over. Sound familiar? Well, luckily I can watch TV on my PC!
I'm what's known as a 'channel hopper'. I sit for hours on end at times, clicking the channel-up button repeatedly until something catches my eye. I've never been one to browse a TV guide in advance and plan my nightly viewing. Pc Satellite Tv changed all that and now I'm always in control of what I watch.
Like most people, I love TV, but I wasn't quite getting my teeth into the abundance of rubbish that comes with normal cable or satellite TV packages. The monthly subscriptions can be a touch on the heavy side, even with the most generous of service providers. And even though you're paying for a service, it's not very personal, is it? For every 4 decent channels that I like there are at least 20 that I will never ever watch.
For a one-off payment I downloaded and installed some software onto my PC, which was as simple as could be. I now have an unfathomable amount of channels that fulfill my viewing pleasure.
You get anything from sports to movies, music, kids TV and much more. All in a variety of languages from countries all over the world (which aides an awful lot when learning new tongues!). You get all this without the hassle of a satellite dish, cables, or tuning in your TV set. Not to mention that if you move house it all comes with you. No over-paid cowboy coming to your abode, a week later than expected, to "fix" the scrambled images.

Championship
Enjoy Championship Basketball With Boston Celtics Tickets by Al Terry
Boston Celtics tickets are tickets to see real championship basketball. If the NBA was royalty, then the Celtics would be the undisputed king. They have established a firm tradition of playing basketball from the winning side and bringing forth some truly legendary players.
The Celtics are based in Boston, Massachusetts and play their home games at TD Banknorth Garden. The team plays in the National Basketball Association in the Atlantic Division and the Eastern Conference. The team has 16 championships to its name, the most of any NBA franchise. They also have 25 division titles and 19 conference wins to their name.
A Big Start
The Celtics were born in 1946 and struggled a lot, trying to find a foothold in the newly formed NBA. It wasn't until Red Auerbach entered the picture that the team's fortunes turned around. The team acquired some really strong players and began to play some devastatingly strong basketball. Boston Celtics tickets became a hot commodity but the team never seemed to be able to make to the big wins.
It wasn't until 1957 that the Celtics embarked on a smoldering warpath of success that consisted of almost consecutive championship, conference and division wins until the 1970s. High sales in Boston Celtics tickets reflected the high rolling success of the team at that time. By the seventies however, the teams' fortunes dipped and the Celtics began to concentrate on rebuilding their team.
Bird And Beyond
While the team did well in the middle of the seventies, it was nothing compared to the smoking sensation the Celtics had been a few years before. Boston Celtics tickets were still going strong but fans longed to see some of that magic from the past. This magic would come in the form of Larry Bird, one of the most legendary players in the realm of basketball. Bird would help steer the Celtics to success numerous times but he wasn't alone. The team acquired a number of other talented players. In the wake of the 1985-1986 the Celtics who were considered the best in the NBA, picked up Len Bias who had tremendous potential. Unfortunately Bias took overdose of cocaine and died just two days after being drafted. Many fans believe that the Celtics never recovered from this as a string of unfortunate incidents began dogging the team after his death.
The Celtics were soon plagued with a spate of injuries and even Larry Bird was out of action. Despite a seeming stabilizing of the team's performance, the Celtics began to take a nose dive which was perpetuated with more tragedy and Bird's retirement. It wouldn't be until 2001 that the Celtics would show any sign of bouncing back into the game. They started with low expectations but managed to surprise the critics with their hard-hitting plays. Today, the Celtics have managed to reinstate themselves as one of the NBA's most elite teams and Boston Celtics tickets are a hot commodity once again.
The Celtics share some fierce rivalries with the Lakers, Pistons and the 76ers, the latter being the most volatile while the others have cooled off. Don't miss your chance to see some hot basketball action with Boston Celtics tickets- contact an authorized online ticket vendor to get your tickets now.

Love Songs
Love Songs by Cliff Richard by Panda Knuckle
Off late I've managed to find out an Album of one of my all time favorites. After several weeks of comb searching to my bachelor godown I yield eureka when my childhood asset and obsession hit on my hand. It was "Love Song" by "Cliff Richard". The time has changed, the Album cover has turned pale, but the music and its simplicity remain unchanged. To me Cliff was the king of melody and any of his number can set your mood creating a romantic aura around you. So once again I have listened to this album from beginning to end, and I dont remember how many times I had to rewind the number "Don't Talk to Him". I was having a tough time in relation and that particular number was just setting up my mood. It was as refreshing and soothing as ever. The words are eternal, when the maestro says "So just remember what I say, And trust in me while I'm away, For I'll be true, And just remember my true love, Is brighter than the moon above for only you". Each and every song is a creation of a magician.
The key aspect of this Album is, it's a great collection of songs for any occasion and any mood. Whereas the only demerit is, it does not contain the most recent Cliff love songs. This particular Album contains a great collection of Cliff Richard love songs, where some of the numbers are hard to find on many other Albums. The number "twelfth of never" is sung with such a warm feeling and on the other hand "when the girl in your arms" brings back memories of the early 60's. Whereas the biggest hit of the Album is, "we don't talk anymore" and it's sounding better than ever. The playtime is around an hour and is great for listening to on the move or even when relaxing at home after a hectic day.
The Album carries some all time greats such as Constantly, I Could Easily Fall (In Love With You), Minute You're Gone, It's All In The Game, Don't Talk To Him, Theme For A Dream, Fall In Love With You. Other numbers such as Miss You Nights, Visions, Up In The World, Carrie, A Voioce In The Wilderness, Twelfth Of Never, Day I Met Marie, Can't Take The Hurt Anymore, A Little In Love, When Two Worlds Drift Apart, Next Time, When The Girl in Your Arms Is The Girl In Your Heart, We Don't Talk Anymore has also received acclaim from fans and listeners. The variety of song selection can certainly mesmerize the listeners. From the classic slow ballads to fast moving bits, you will find everything in the pack. Just to share, my favorite track is "next time" from the film summer holiday. I can guarantee, even if you are not a die-hard Cliff Richard fan, still you will find most of the tracks to please your ears and to touch your soul in true sense.

Top 10 Oscar
Top 10 Oscar - Best Actor Predictions by Peter Brown
Which 5 leading men will be nominated in the best-actor category and which of these actors will win the coveted Oscar for Best Actor at the 80th Academy Awards on February 24th 2008? Here's the latest hotlist of the 10 most serious contenders.
Daniel Day Lewis, There Will Be Blood
Appearing in virtually every scene in his best work to date (and that's saying something) Daniel Day Lewis is brilliant, and surely an odd's on favourite for Best Actor at this year's Oscars? Daniel Day Lewis is outstanding as oil prospector Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood, a dark and compelling story of greed and brutality, were success far outweighs human compassion. There Will Be Blood is an entertaining, blockbuster of a story, driven by a blockbusting performance from Daniel Day Lewis.
Tommy Lee Jones, In The Valley of Elah
Tommy Lee Jones plays Hank Deerfield to perfection In the Valley of Elah. Jones excels as the patriotic ex-military man who now seeks answers about his son's disappearance after a tour of duty in Iraq. Despite strong military resistance Hank Deerfield will stop at nothing to uncover the truth, Tommy Lee Jones masters Deerfield's character and his military ways to the core, a hand-grenade of a performance, just wait till he explodes.
Denzel Washington, American Gangster
American Gangster is the true story of 70's Harlem drug boss Frank Lucas played by Denzel Washington. Cool businessman or cold-hearted killer, Washington is convincing as he sources heroin direct from the jungle of Southeast Asia to annihilate the competition and expand his criminal empire. A family man yet a loner Lucas is heading for an explosive collision with fellow loner, corruption investigating NYPD detective Richie Roberts (Russell Crowe). Watch the onscreen fireworks when they finally meet.
Benicio Del Toro, Things We Lost in the Fire
Bencio Del Torro plays Jerry Sunborne a recovering heroin addict to perfection in Things We Lost in the Fire. Playing alongside Halle Berry, Del Torro steals the show with a performance that will have you questioning whether he really is on drugs. You can almost feel Del Torro's pain as he sweats and pleads when trying to kick the habit.
Johnny Depp, Sweeney Todd
As Sweeney Todd is the 6th film that Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have made together (Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and Corpse Bride) it is only natural that they have developed a film making 'chemistry'. Perhaps the singing will go against him, but as the title role demon barber Sweeney Todd, Johnny Depp is frighteningly realistic, with Helena Bonham Carter as his pie making and singing accomplice Mrs Lovett, perhaps I will grow that beard after all!
Philip Seymour Hoffman - Before the Devil Knows Your Dead
Philip Seymour Hoffman is excellent as Andy the corporate accountant and heroin addict who has come up with the perfect crime. Perfect that is until the robbery of their parent's jewellery store goes horribly wrong. As Andy struggles to cope with the consequences and his conscience, Philip Seymour Hoffman's portrayal as a man on the brink, is enthralling.
George Clooney, Michael Clayton
George Clooney plays the eponymous Michael Clayton, a 'fixer' at a powerful New York law firm. Not being adverse to a little bribery and corruption, Michael is forced to wrestle with his own conscience when sent to rescue the case after his colleague Arthur (excellently portrayed by Tom Wilkinson) suffers an emotional breakdown. A divorcee, ex gambler with financial problems, this is a confrontational and far more challenging role than that of the supporting role as Bob Barnes for which George won his previous Oscar in Syriana. George Clooney's powerful performance may just be enough for another nomination.
Christian Bale, 3:10 to Yuma
Elmore Leonard's western short story 3:10 to Yuma stars Christian Bale as the debt burdened rancher Dan Evans offered $200 and the chance to regain respect to escort outlaw Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) to the Federal Court. A great movie and Christian Bale is excellent as the downtrodden rancher with something to prove in a psychological and physical battle against Wade.
James McAvoy, Atonement
Whilst Atonement is not my cup of tea, there's no doubting that come Oscar time it will be there in force. James McAvoy plays Robbie the working-class man falsely accused of raping an underage aristocrat. Whilst McAvoy excels as the shy, well-mannered son of a grounds-keeper I can't help feeling the role restricts the full extent of James McAvoy's talents.
Brad Pitt, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
As infamous outlaw Jesse James, Brad Pitt puts in a fantastic performance. Brad Pitt swaggers with superiority and charisma (just as I would if I was with Angelina Jolie J ) as the myth wanted for 17 murders and numerous robberies tries to live up to the ever increasing price on his head. Brad Pitt performs admirably but put your money on Casey Affleck for best supporting actor as he steals the show as the tormented soul Robert Ford.

Reality Tv Stars
Reality Tv Stars - What Happens When The Show Ends? by Yihang Huang
Reality TV is more than just a passing craze. After the first episodes of Survivor in 2000, it was pretty clear that reality TV is here to stay. Sometimes, going on a reality show propels contestants to success, even if they don't win their show. Elisabeth Hasselbeck went from Survivor to hosting The View and Jennifer Hudson lost American Idol but won an Oscar for her role in Dreamgirls. But not everyone is equipped to handle their newfound stardom.
Loss of Privacy
Going on a reality TV show propels contestants into the spotlight. Many people feel like they know the contestants on a reality show, even though they have never met. It's pretty easy to understand this phenomenon - you are welcoming these people into your home each week, and they way that most reality shows are shot make it seem like contestants are speaking directly to you. But when contestants go home, many of them are unable to return to their normal lives. Contestants are often stopped in the course of their day to day activities, sometimes for an autograph or picture, other times to be told just what they thought of their game play. It's hard for most contestants to have this lack of anonymity, especially those who felt that they weren't portrayed favorably on their show.
Family and Relationships
Going on a reality TV show can have an unexpected impact on the family and relationships of contestants. Some family members of contestants have reported that they have been approached by fans, usually to complain about the actions of their son or daughter. A reality show can also put an enormous amount of strain on a relationship. Most reality TV shows are shot over the course of several months, during which contestants are isolated from family and friends. That, in itself, can be difficult for a relationship. But sometimes the most stressful part is the action of the contestants on the show. There have been instances where a contestant has cheated on their significant other while on a show, and others who were simply horrified at how their partner played the game.
Jobs
There have been many contestants whose jobs have been impacted by going on a reality TV show. A show like The Apprentice may highlight reasons to hire someone. But when you are shown on a show as lying and cheating, employers notice and are not as quick to hire you. Many times contestants on reality TV shows list "model" or "bartender" as their occupation, as they are professions most able to take 2-3 months off of work without being asked questions. But contestants who are lawyers or doctors find it hard to go back to their practices; many lawyers are no longer actively practicing law.
There haven't been many studies done on the long-term impact of being on a reality TV show. But the articles that have been written show most need continued support from a mental health professional. And for most part, this is not a consequence that any of them consider.
